President announced the biggest defeat for Venezuelan oligarchy
Caracas, Feb 21 ABN.- The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez Frías, announced this Thursday what he called the biggest defeat for the Venezuelan oligarchy, which, he said, “will keep trying to create food shortages and generate smear campaigns against the food plans carried out by the Bolivarian government”.
At the Revision, Rectification, and Relaunching Journey that took place at the Miraflores Presidential Palace, President Chávez said that during 2008, particularly, Venezuelan oligarchy will keep trying to create food shortages.
“The oligarchy changes his tactical plans because its strategical plans are still the same: to overthrow Chávez and put an end to the revolution. This plan is an imperial order”, he assured.
The Bolivarian leader pointed out that he will not rest in this struggle against those trying to generate a smear campaign hiding Bolivarian government's real achievements regarding the food matter, through governmental missions like the Food Markets Network (MERCAL, Spanish acronym) and the Venezuelan Food Production and Distribution Company (PDVAL, Spanish acronym).
“I will not rest. If we had to spend all the resources, the National Army Forces, and PDVSA (the state-owned oil company) to guarantee food of quality, we will do it”, he added.
Chávez insisted that the imperial plan will be defeated and his administration will keep its task of guaranteeing food security and healthy products for Venezuelan family.
Furthermore, once again he rejected the statements made by the spokespeople of the Chambers Federation and Commerce and Production Associations of Venezuela (Fedecamaras, Spanish acronym), who are talking about a food shortage in Venezuela. “It is shameless what they are saying about the food sector in coma”, he stressed.
On the contrary, Chávez underscored that currently with the revolution, more than ever in Venezuelan history, people is being attended in health and food issues, as well as they are receiving these food flows with important governmental financial assistance.
He took advantage of the opportunity to make a call to the people's power to keep organizing and, with their requests, they can create new small PDVAL throughout the length and breadth of the country.
